MIND AND BODY
The mind-body connection is a very important one. Our bodies are a whole, and within body is the mind. With more anxiety, tension and stress these days, we forget to take time to relax our minds and center ourselves. Meditation is a vital part of quitting bad habits and overcoming various mental and emotional obstacles. This has a HUGE impact on our success – with our goals we quiet the mind and learn to focus.

BMI and OBESITY
Body Mass Index (BMI) is a number calculated from a person’s weight and height. BMI provides a reliable indicator of body fat for most individuals, and is used to screen for weight categories that may lead to health problems (CDC). Between 1990 and 2010, there was a dramatic increase in obesity in the United States. This epidemic is coming at a very high cost to our quality of life, with financial repercussions as well. Obesity is within our power to control, we are going to do our best to help America defeat this horrible disease.
